Catching Distractions

I had every intent only to look through favorite books for dog-eared and underlined pages. And instead, I found myself sucked into the vortex of rereading The Catcher in the Rye. I literally have an unread shelf of 67 books, in my home, that I have bought to read - not to mention the almost hundred "want to read" books in my goodreads app. But here, I was, again, with Holden and the phonies. Despite having read this book at least a half a dozen times over the years, I still discovered new insights and ideas around Holden's weekend in New York. So, despite the fact that I am sure that this has been done before, I wanted to make my own list of things Holden finds "phony".
